1988 Porsche 928 S4 - Rare 5 Speed!
Beautiful 1988 Porsche 928 S4 with rare 5 speed manual transmission. Currently has only 67,700 miles!! It is Super Clean, exceptionally well-maintained with timing belt, tensioner, and water pump service completed July 2018 (less than 500 miles ago) by a Porsche specialist. Extensive service records available as well as original tool kit, books/manual, jack, and new custom car cover. Original window sticker notes special order items including 5-speed manual transmission, Grand Prix white paint, Burgundy leather interior, heated sport seats, limited slip differential, A/C with increased output, and sunroof. Standard items include an 8 cylinder 32 valve all aluminum 5.0 liter overhead cam engine producing 316 HP, stabilizer bars, large vented anti-lock disc brakes, and the legendary Weissach rear axle (precursor to active rear-wheel steering).
This is a relatively low mileage and rare 928 that is wonderful to drive with a 50/50 weight distribution. Powerful with sporty handling yet refined. A true GT car. The 928 S4 was named the fastest naturally aspirated production car in the world at the time (171 mph flying mile). While Porsche did not publish official production statistics, it is believed less than 500 5 speed manual 928 S4s were imported into the U.S. for the 1988 model year. Now Offered at $39,900.
