Vehicle Overview
This FHC is as good as it gets. Motorcars Incorporated created this car in our restoration department to be a Gentleman's Racer. The build goal was to incorporate the best of everything including a new Tremec transmission, a Quarter Master multi disc clutch, and alloy flywheel. New exhaust headers were heat treated both inside and out. The suspension system was redone and checked for acumen and geometry. The car was equipped with vented rear brakes and Willwood front brakes before we mounted fresh Goodyear racing slicks.The fuel cell is a circa 2019 unit and incorporates an integral slush box and pressure regulator within the tank. The MSD ignition system has a built-in rev limiter and is triggered by a Mallory Unilite distributor.
This car is VRG, HSR, and SVRA tech qualified and every part on it is the best you can buy. The engine has Carrillo rods, Ross racing pistons, and Terry's high-performance camshafts. The crank shaft is Series 3 XJ6 and forged and peened and balanced by an expert shop. In fact, the entire engine build was performed with the most experienced technicians in our shop and by the best available sublet machinists.
The paint work is concours quality, with the stripes buried in the clear. We purchased a new Alloy bonnet and perfectly fit it to the body and cowl.
The project, including paint, consumed more than 2000 hours because that is the right way to build a racecar. That kind of work and attention to detail means you can slide right into the driver's seat and start racing tomorrow!
